I think Gold Panda is probably my favourite artist of the last 20 years. Derwin uses melody and rhythm in such a fresh way, infused with East Asian instrument samples. Favourite track: The Corner

I saw Bayonne supporting Sylvan Esso a few years ago and was instantly hooked. Roger has a great ear for uplifting melodies and brings a Steve Reich approach to his rhythms. Favourite track: Omar

Although I do agree I'd prefer more focus on the IRS era, this is a really solid collection of covers that delivers some unique takes. Totally inspired me to go back and listen to the original albums as well.
